Communicating via a Mat

THE PROBLEM

Patricia Avenue School is a special needs school with students with disabilities. Many are unable to communicate verbally.

THE SOLUTION

We supplied the school with an interactive media mat which the students with limited speech could use to point to something they wanted. For example: drink, eat, sleep and many more options. The mat can be rolled up and laid out flat. It is made from rubber so it can be wiped clean. The printing is clear and bright.

THE OUTCOME

Students are able to communicate with their peers and teachers more effectively and the mat is long lasting and easy to manage.
